Arash play mat is reminiscent of the fact that famous Persian champions are the myths of this ancient land, each with an interesting and advice-rich story behind. In a war between the Iranians and Turanians over the “royal glory”, both parties reached an agreement that the fate of lands surrounded depends on the range of a bow-shot and a distance before finally landing. Arash, a devoted patriotic champion, climbed up the mount Damavand and then fired the specially-prepared arrow at dawn. Shooting at dawn, the arrow landed at sunset on a tree by the Amu River and all the Persian territory returned to Manuchehr and the Iranians. Arash was destroyed by the shot and disappeared for the sake of his land and territory, making him a symbol of self-sacrifice in ancient Persian history.
